Three layouts for invented businesses, showing how we would structure a home builder's project page, a renovation company's job-type page and an electrician's service page. None of them is a real client, and none carries figures, reviews or results.
We could show screenshots of other websites, but we would have to stand behind every claim on them. Invented businesses let us show the structure we recommend without implying results that belong to someone else. The businesses and jobs below are made up and deliberately left unnamed, so none can be mistaken for a real company. Place names are real only to make the examples read naturally.
Example 1: a home builder's project page
What makes it work: the page explains a real decision, the cladding fixings, that a future client with an exposed section would care about. It credits the architect. It gives no budget or timeframe, because nothing here can be confirmed.
Example 2: a renovation company's job-type page
What makes it work: it describes the job in the client's terms, says what is needed to price it, and sends consent questions to the authority that answers them.
Example 3: an electrician's service page
What makes it work: it separates urgent from planned work, sets expectations about the day itself and states coverage the same way everywhere.
What none of the examples include
invented reviews, star ratings or client quotes
figures for budgets, timeframes, enquiries or rankings
licences or memberships that a fictional business could not hold
stock photos presented as finished work
If you want a layout like one of these for your own business, the process page explains how we get from a brief to a finished site.
